Its highly-specialized microbial consortium of nitrifying cultures are specially formulated to eliminate ammonia via a natural biological process termed nitrification. The cultures contained in Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II will establish, promote, or stabilize and maintain nitrification in aquarium waters, eliminating the toxic effect of ammonia.

Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II liquid nitrifying bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter. Nitrosomonas oxidize ammonia to nitrite, and Nitrobacter oxidize nitrite to nitrate. This improves water quality by specifically decreasing ammonia and nitrite toxicity in aquariums and fish tanks. The solution is safe for all marine life and is effective in both freshwater and saltwater.

Maintaining tanks with Nite-Out II produces an ecosphere that is welcoming to new fish. Its large numbers of nitrifying bacteria keep ammonia levels low and facilitate a smooth introduction of new fish to the environment, reducing fish loss. Nite-Out II is also great to use as a starter treatment, preparing an aquarium by introducing beneficial bacteria prior to adding fish or other marine life, thereby speeding up the cycling process.
