The filter's patented re-filtration system enables you to control the flow rate without compromising filtration efficiency. When the flow rate is reduced, up to 50% of the water within the filter chamber is processed multiple times, providing a more gentle water flow that is sometimes required for delicate fish and plants.
The AquaClear Power Filter features a multi-stage filtration system that provides complete mechanical, chemical, and biological filter media for superior water quality. The filtration volume is up to 7 times larger than comparable filters, allowing for superior contact time with the AquaClear filter media.
The unique waterfall design enables filtered water to return to the tank silently, gently breaking the surface tension and creating beneficial oxygenation. The patented flow control feature allows you to adjust the water flow according to your aquarium needs, and the media basket prevents water from bypassing the filter media, maximizing filtration efficiency.
Installation and maintenance are quick, easy, and convenient. After filling the Power Filter case completely with water and replacing the cover, you can adjust the water flow control lever on the intake "U" tube to its maximum position for initial start-up. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and allow 30-45 seconds for priming (air to be expelled from the "U" tube).
The filter comes equipped with AquaClear Foam, Activated Carbon Filter, and AquaClear BioMax, providing optimal mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration.
