The Carbon & Zeolite Mixture in these replacement cartridges is supercharged with scientifically formulated Carbon and Zeolite Crystals, enabling them to absorb ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and phosphates in a fast and timely manner. Additionally, they remove harmful chemicals and toxins, clear up discolorations, and reduce foul odors from your aquarium, tank, or habitat.
Furthermore, these replacement media cartridges contain a Bio Sponge for physical filtration of larger particulate matter and biological filtration that optimizes the colonization of anaerobic bacteria, complementing the Carbon and Zeolite Crystals.
Before placing the media cartridge into your aquarium, tank, or habitat, it is recommended to briefly rinse it with warm water to remove any Carbon or Zeolite dust. Failing to do so could initially result in the water becoming dark or cloudy.
It is important to note that the Small World Replacement Media Cartridges (SWF1C) do not come with a Filter, Air Tubing, or an Air Pump, which are sold separately.
Each Filter Media Cartridge measures 1.3" x 1.1" x 4.1", making them easy to install as replacement cartridges for your Small World filters.
