The Aqua-Tech EZ-Change Filter Cartridges feature premium Activated Carbon, which delivers maximum filtration capabilities. Unlike traditional cartridges, these require no messy assembly; users can quickly change them in seconds by simply shaking and rinsing the used cartridge.
The Aqua-Tech Replacement Filter Cartridges, when used with the Aqua-Tech Power Filtration system, offer a Complete 3-Stage Filtration solution for cleaner, healthier fish environments.
In the first stage, the filter cartridge floss screens out dirt and debris, with a molded and ribbed back design that maximizes water-to-carbon contact. In the second stage, the Activated Carbon inside the filter cartridge removes unwanted odors, discolorations, and impurities. To maintain optimal performance, the used Aqua-Tech replacement cartridge should be changed monthly, as the carbon deactivates with use.
The third stage of the filtration system features the Bio-Tech Biological Grid, which is included with the Aqua-Tech Power Filter. This grid never requires replacement and ensures the elimination of toxic ammonia and nitrite, while its unique design prevents clogging.
The EZ-Change #1 Filter Cartridge is designed to fit the Aqua-Tech 5-15 Power Filters and contains the premium Aqua-Tech Activated Carbon. For best results, it is recommended to change the cartridge every 2-4 weeks.
